Conditions: Full sun
Size: 4-5 feet high and 3 feet wide
Miscanthus Sinensis is as close a to a beach grass as you can find without a beach. It has a silvery appearance and the leaf blades are clean and thin. It gets to be about 4-5 feet high, and 3-4 feet wide, and does well in hot direct sun. It works well for massing, and for screening. Looks great along a railing or edge, with lavender, roses and other sun loving perennials. You will want to cut these back in late winter for new growth. Make sure you have the room, these guys like to spread out and get comfortable.
