This is actually called a 'rush' or 'sedge' and is actually more of an edge -of -water plant, but it is incredibly architectural and very gorgeous especially when thriving and clipped. It is really best grown in medium to wet soils in full sun to part shade, and will actually grow in up to 4” of standing water. IT spreads like wildfire, like bamboo, so planters or barriers a good idea. Once established it can be a bear to remove because of the rhizomes which shoot horizontally in every which direction, so make sure you like it because you may have it for a while...
conditions: partial sun to shade (will tolerate shade)
water: needs quite a bit
