Dwarf Korean Lilac

Who doesn't like walking past a Lilac in full bloom? Most Lilacs are gorgeous for 2 weeks when they are in bloom, but are scrubby and non-distinct the rest of the year. The dwarf Korean Lilac is actually dense and robust looking and if pruned correctly forms a very fragrant hedge that is low, flowering, and just so lovely. One of my favorite plant experts and landscape designers, Julia Miller, was kind enough to show me her garden and introduced me to these. She is a good person to know, and she has a practice in Carroll Gardens:
