This willow-y evergreen perennial is a slow grower but definitely worth the wait to establish. Growing to 2'-3', they look like green clouds have touched down to earth, and in early summer have small star shaped blue flowers. Great in well drained (sloped) soil, and full sun, this is an excellent filler plant for large areas and best planted en masse as a border. They turn an amazing shade of gold in the fall. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has them planted in a mass planting at their entrance, so if it's good enough for them...
